Nov 2018 Monthly Stats!


November was a ridiculously busy month for author visits, activities and book borrowing, here's the run-down:


Author Eve Ainsworth visited with our Year 7 students for Ant-Bullying Week and to sit down with The Booklings to record a podcast.


Author Katherine Webber spoke to our Year 10 students and recorded an episode of Booklings Chat with our students!


Year 7 students Skyped with author Anna James to discuss her novel Pages & Co!


I visited Lytham to speak to the Lancashire branch of the School Library Association to discuss how to get students and staff in the Library.


Our Book Club met four times, we worked on the Book Flood, a program where students give teachers books to read over the holidays.


Manga Club met twice, we watched the film Isle of Dogs.


I released another issue of The Portable Magic Dispenser, the monthly newsletter with practical Library & classroom program ideas.


It was a record month for book borrowing:


1,452 books were borrowed in November making it the busiest month I've had since starting in 2013.


Girls borrowed 780 books
Boys borrowed 672 books
