Penguin Presents, a Booklings Chat to Remember!

This week Renee, one of our Booklings (a member of our Library podcast team) had an experience that she will remember forever.

We were contacted by Penguin Publishing and asked if we had any Malorie Blackman fans in the podcast team. They asked if she'd be interested in interviewing Malorie at the London Palladium in front of 3,000 people as part of Penguin's annual conference / celebration of their achievements.

Renee jumped at the chance to do this, we had a lot of prep to do but in the end the entire experience was surreal and amazing. She also met really interesting people like Bill Bryson, Stormzy, Marku Zusak and many more.

Interviewing Malorie Blackman in that kind of venue was a very unique experience, one I hope she'll always remember.

It is a testament to the students' hard work with this podcast, this event would not have happened if they hadn't built up a reputation interviewing authors, honing their presenting skills and becoming great broadcasters and interviewers.
