A Skype visit with Gabrielle Kent!
Our Year 7s at Glenthorne had a really fun Skype with Gabrielle Kent, author of the Alfie Bloom series and her latest novel, Knigths & Bikes which has been nominated for Glenthorne's annual Bookling Book Award!
Gabrielle discussed her life as a video game designer and how she teaches video game design to students in addition to being an author. Knights & Bikes is a hilarious action adventure with great characters, lots of laughs and dastardly villains.
She took great questions from the students and even suggestions for a title for the sequel to Knights & Bikes!
All of the Bookling Award shortlisted books have been extremely popular at Glenthorne and it's events like this that make the Award even more engaging for the students. Gabrielle was a really fun and exciting author to Skype with, I highly recommend picking up a copy of Knights & Bikes today if you have a reader between the ages of 9-12!
