June 2018 Monthly Library Stats!
As always June was a very busy month at the Glenthorne Library!
Adolescent Identities visited the Library to speak to students about diversity in YA literature.
I spoke to several School Librarians about using reaching students in the Library using technology.
With the Senior Leadership Team, we launched a Year 9 Boys Book Club in the Library.
I spoke at the School Library Association annual meeting in Glasgow, Scotland.
Author Julia Gray visited the Library and spoke to our Year 9 students.
Author Chris Hallatt Wells visited the Library to speak to our Year 7 students.
We held a SLAM (Student Leaders & Makers Club) using Sphero and Makey Makey!
Our book club, The Booklings, won a set of books from author Nicola Morgan in a nation-wide competition.
The Booklings launched a new program where they are visiting tutor times (homerooms) before school to promote books.
939 books were borrowed in June.
Girls borrowed 474
Boys borrowed 465
