A Manga Art Class with Karen Rubins!

Students from Years 7-9 were treated to a great visit from manga artist Karen Rubins this week.

Karen was scheduled to be a part of our annual ComicCon which was postponed because of bad weather a few weeks ago.

She delivered an amazing two hour manga-drawing workshop for the students who were delighted with her in depth knowledge of their favourite books.

Many of the students in attendance are members of our weekly Manga Club which has met every Wednesday after school for the past five years. It has been one of our most popular programs and having great artists like Karen visit only makes it more popular.

I can't wait to continue our Manga Club and to have people like Karen who love the art form visit our school to promote it to the students!
