An Author Visit with Holly Bourne and Sara Barnard!

Today our Year 10 students had an amazing visit with superstar authors Holly Bourne and Sara Barnard as part of their "Friends Do Tell" tour.

Holly & Sara asked each other questions about the role friendship plays in their life and their work. They discussed their high school experiences, the crushes they felt were life or death moments, the embarrassing times and the feeling that high school would never end.

There were some amazing insights into teen life provided by the authors. One was the idea that the friendships the students are forging can be the most important relationships they will ever have, ones that can last a lifetime.

Another was when Sara mentioned that the times spent with her high school friends was some of the most loving memories she had.

It was a hilarious, engaging, thoughtful and important conversation for the students to be a part of.

We were very lucky to have the authors visit and I would have them back in a second if I could!
