A Skype with White Oak, Texas!
Today two of our Year 7 classes Skyped with a class of 11-12 year olds in White Oak, Texas.
It was a great opportunity to meet new students and to share our love of reading.
Our students read from their favourite books and then we swapped stories about our schools.
The students in Texas were amazed to hear that we weren't allowed phones and that our students had to wear uniforms!
In turn, our students could not believe that the students in Texas were allowed to look up information on their phones in the classroom and that they could wear casual clothing to school.
We also talked about our favourite books, sports and the cities in which we live.
I really love Skyping with other classes and look forward to doing more!
