A visit from author Holly Bourne!
Today our Year 10 students had a exciting visit from writing superstar Holly Bourne.
Holly met with the entire year group in the Hall to discuss her books, feminism, her life as a writer and several different issues facing the youth of today.
It was a very important, engaging and often hilarious discussion that kept the students laughing yet gave them many things to think about after it was finished.
After her talk, Holly moved on to the library where she signed books and had another great discussion with a group of devoted year 10 students.
Once the next period started, she spoke to 35 Year 10 students in the Library, they were free to ask her questions about her writing and inspirations.
Again, it was a very heartfelt and serious discussion that she effortlessly sprinkled with humour throughout.
