A Twitter Chat with Laura Dockrill
Today a range of students took part in an amazing live Twitter chat with author, poet & illustrator Laura Dockrill.
We projected the Library's Twitter account on the big screen during the lunch hour.
Students were allowed to hop on the computer and ask Laura a question using the hashtag #booklingschat.
Students received advice about writing and we learned about her inspiration as an artist.
One student, Library Assistant Asim, asked Laura if she had any advice for beginning writers.
Alex asked Laura what her favourite subjects were in school.

We had time for around 14 questions before the bell rang, although several of the students were desperate to stay and chat. It was a memorable experience and I'm already being inundated with requests for the next one!
