Author Eve Ainsworth visits the Library!
Today we had a special guest, Glenthorne's Patron of Reading, author Eve Ainsworth.
Eve visited the library for the first time as her role as our Patron. She spoke to a group of Year 8 students about her life growing up, her decision to become a writer and her writing process.
Eve's debut novel "7 Days," a story about bullying in high school and told from two different perspective, has recently been nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal.
Eve also discussed the subject of her new book "Crush" and took questions from the students.
To finish, she read an excerpt from "7 Days" which had the students at the edge of her seat.
It was a very informative and productive afternoon and a great start to our Patron of Reading program!
