World Book Day!
This year, we're going to celebrate World Book Day with a series of events aimed at getting students who might not regularly come to the Library through the doors.
On Monday, 2nd March we'll be hosting an Open Mic at lunch time in the Library/
Tuesday, 3rd March, 30 students will be taken on a field trip top Walthamstow to meet authors Jacqueline Wilson, Philip Reeve and more.
Wednesday, 4th March we will be hosting a Book Tasting in the Library - we are going to decorate the place like a restaurant and have new books of specific genres on the tables. Students will have a few minutes to go over the books and choose their favourites.
Thursday, 5th March all students are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character. The student with the best costume will win an Amazon Kindle.
Friday, 6th March we will be hosting a Book Basketball Death Match in the Library. Students will get into teams and be asked a series of literary questions, teams who answer correctly will get a chance to shoot a basketball through a hoop (Nerf edition) for extra points and the chance to wipe points off their opponents' score.
It should be interesting to say the least.
