It's the end of another day
Several casualties and several lay
All around No Man's Land

It's the end of another day,
The fighting will never be put at bay
Shell shock has claimed many more men
Even my best friend, cute little Ben

It's the end of another day
That's all I have to say
I take my hat off to all those who fought
And to all those who the war caught
